WASHINGTON - Actress Natalie Portman has revealed that she felt a real brotherly bond with actors Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal while shooting for new film ‘Brothers’, as they had grown up together in the movie industry.
Portman, 28, who appears alongside Maguire, 34, and Gyllenhaal, 28, in the movie, revealed that they felt so close to one another that they turned rehearsal sessions into social get-togethers.
In the movie, Portman plays Maguire’s wife, who falls for his brother, played by Gyllenhaal, after her marine husband is presumed dead while on a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The trio were so familiar with each other that they relocated from the movie studio to one another’s houses for rehearsal.
“This is the first time I’ve worked with actors I knew before! I met Tobey when I was 14 and Jake when I was 18,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Star magazine.
“We rehearsed in each other’s houses, so there was familiarity from the first day,” she added. (ANI)

I thought it was very powerful. The film reminds people that war is hell, not only in battle, but at home too, and the acting was superb! |
