TOMMY LEE JONES has quit his role as director and actor on THE LINCOLN LAWYER due to creative differences.

The Oscar-winner was set to helm the movie and appear alongside Matthew McConaughey in the adaptation of Michael Connelly’s hit novel.

But the Men In Black star has decided to bow out of the project after disagreeing with screenwriter John Romano over the script, according to Variety.

The studio, Lakeshore Entertainment, is now looking for another filmmaker and star before the production begins shooting in spring 2010.
