LONDON - Jennifer Lopez and her hubby Marc Anthony are in legal trouble, all because of their dog.

The couple is facing a 3-million-pound lawsuit launched by an airhostess who claims she was bitten by Anthony’s guard dog.

According to court papers, Lisa Wilson, 40, has claimed that the military-trained German shepherd attacked her while she was working on a private jet three years ago.

Floyd, Anthony’s “personal protection” dog, is said to have growled at Wilson as she walked past, before biting the leg of her trousers and causing her to fall over.

Wilson has alleged that she injured her back so badly she can no longer work, and is now suing the couple in New York’s Brooklyn Federal Court for 3million pounds.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that a vet who examined the animal concluded that the singer and her husband were responsible for the alleged attack.

The airhostess was carrying silverware at the time of the alleged attack and the vet found that the couple’s personal chef had also been targeted by the dog when he carried sharp objects.

Wilson, a flight attendant for NetJets, has claimed she had been warned to be careful around Floyd, suggesting the couple knew he was a threat.

She also said that Anthony told her not to make eye contact with the dog and to call Floyd by his name if she needed to pass.

According to court papers, Lopez and Anthony, 41, were flying from Republic Airport in Farmingdale, Long Island, to Burbank, California when the incident occurred on July 3, 2006.

“The dog was obviously dangerous and we will prove at trial that it was only a matter of time before he hurt someone,” the Daily Express quoted Wilson’s lawyer William Cafaro as saying.

Cafaro said that the dog should have been made to wear a muzzle or a leash and the owners should have warned his client “to stay completely away from the dog”.

Joseph Varvaro, a lawyer for Lopez and Anthony, responded in court papers that the pair had hired their own animal-behaviour expert to evaluate Floyd. (ANI)
