Johansson Not Heading To Broadway

Hollywood actress SCARLETT JOHANSSON has brushed off reports she is set to star in a revival of Broadway musical PROMISES, PROMISES - insisting she “hasn’t been approached” for a role.

Online reports suggested the actress was in contention with Anne Hathaway and Zooey Deschanel to play a waitress who falls in love with an up-and-coming businessman in the Neil Simon/Burt Bacharach/Hal David musical.

However, a spokesperson for the star says the rumour “is simply not true,” adding, “She hasn’t even been approached about it.”

The show, which will feature Will & Grace star Sean Hayes, does not yet have an official debut date.
