Lucas To Scale Kilimanjaro

Actress ISABEL LUCAS is the latest celebrity set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this autumn (09) to raise money for charity.

The Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen star joins Jessica Biel and her boyfriend Justin Timberlake in a star-studded effort to scale the 9,000-foot (5,890-metre) African peak as part of a fundraising and awareness effort for the worldwide water crisis.

Lucas is confident she can cope with the trek - because a childhood pal showed her how to survive in the Australian Outback.

She says, “My best friend was Aboriginal. She taught me about bush tucker - the food of the land and the different things you can eat if you get lost in the bush, like grasses and berries.”
