Deschanel’s Alien Fears

Actress ZOOEY DESCHANEL grew up believing her older sister was an alien who had been sent to Earth to kill her.

The 29 year old spent her early years suspicious of her actress sibling Emily, who stars in U.S. TV show Bones, after she claimed to be an extra-terrestrial life form.

Deschanel believed the story for many years and puts Emily’s tall tales down to an overactive imagination.

She says, “I grew up believing my sister was from the planet Neptune and had been sent down to Earth to kill me. I believed this because my sister Emily convinced me of it when I was a toddler. I think she’d seen Invasion of the Bodysnatchers and her imagination ran away with her.

“There’s a part of me that still believes it. I have moments when I think, Hmm, could that be true?’ Occasionally I ask my sister about it and she responds by pulling an alien face, which only confuses matters.” (LR/WNSMAS/ZN)
