Secret sister fuelled MJ’s hatred for dad

LONDON - Late King of Pop Michael Jackson reportedly had a secret sister who was responsible for his hatred for his father Joe.

The ‘Thriller’ hitmaker disliked his father due to the latter’s closer relationship with his love-child Vonnie, born after his fling with Cheryl Terryl in 1975.

Michael never forgave Joe for the kindness shown to the girl, something he claimed he never saw growing up.

The signer told that Joe often “whipped” and bullied him into performing.

If family sources are to be believed, the emotional scars ran deeper than the physical trauma Michael suffered as a teenager.

“He never hugged me, but he never had any problem with her. He hugged her - I never understood that,” the News of the World quoted Michael as once having said.

The singer’s friends added: “Michael came to terms with the cruelty and beatings from his father. But their rift was mainly due to Joe’s devotion to Vonnie. He felt that Joe favoured her over the rest of his siblings. Jackson hated Joe for betraying his beloved mum Katherine with the fling. That emotional burden stayed with him for many years.”

Vonnie, 24, was born the day after Jacko’s 16th birthday.

It is said that she has never spoken publicly about her connection to The Jacksons on the advice of Joe.

“When Katherine and Joe ended up living separate lives Vonnie moved in with Joe. Michael found that unsettling, and it again fuelled the rift. When Michael lived in Vegas, he barely saw his dad in case he ever saw his stepsister,” said a source.

“Michael refused to even consider Vonnie part of the family,” the source added.

A family friend revealed that Vonnie, too, attempted to build a career in music, but ended up working at Las Vegas airport.

“Vonnie was a huge embarrassment to their family. She is the Jackson sibling that no one ever really wanted to recognise,” the source said. (ANI)
