Mischa Barton ’struggles’ with weight, body image

WASHINGTON - Former The O.C. star Mischa Barton has been struggling with a fluctuating weight and body image, it has been revealed.

“She has big self-esteem issues. … She hates her legs,” People magazine quoted a source close to Barton as saying.

“She isn’t comfortable with her body. It’s been a big source of stress and self-hate,” she added.

According to a friend, the photos of her cellulite released by media really upset her.

“[She was] more pissed off than hurt and she complained a lot about that” - she didn’t let them get “to her too much. … I never saw her diet,” said a friend.

Another source added, “She had a big problem with those photos of her cellulite. … She didn’t like it. That just was something that contributed to her spiraling but she didn’t do much to fix it because of her partying.”

Meanwhile, Barton’s rep has revealed that the actress is making improvements with the treatments. (ANI)
