kate-winslet2WASHINGTON - Kate Winslet has become extra cautious ever since she has won an Oscar, as she feels the award has brought with itself the pressure to “look composed” as she climbs the ranks in Hollywood.

The British actress had won the Best Actress Academy Award for her performance in ‘The Reader’ in 2009, after almost 12 years since she was first nominated for the coveted gong.

Kate got an Oscar nomination for ‘Sense and Sensibility’ in 1996 and ‘Titanic’ in 1998.

And the 33-year-old actress has admitted that she feels she’s now forced to live up to an impossible standard, and can’t be true to her free spirit.

“It’s very hard to feel like yourself because you’re not; you’re on show,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling America’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

She added: “In the old days I’d just wing it, but now you need to give people what they want, which is someone looking composed, fresh and put together. Our knickers will still go up our a** at the most inappropriate moment. And we’ll still want to flick them out, but you can’t, because someone is going to catch you.’” (ANI)
