WASHINGTON - American actress Kelly Preston is said to have thrown herself into her role in upcoming movie ‘Casino Jack’ in order to cope with the heartbreak following the tragic death of her son Jett.
Preston, 46, and her hubby John Travolta, 55, were devastated when the 16-year-old died from a seizure while the family vacationed in the Bahamas in January this year.
When Preston finally returned to work, playing Kevin Spacey’s wife in the thriller, she used her grief to channel real emotion into her character.
“She wanted to do this to get back to work. She talked to me about her loss. She is deeply affected by it and she brought that to her character,” Contactmusic quoted director George Hickenlooper as saying.
‘Casino Jack’ is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2010. (ANI)
