LONDON - Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber turned down a role to a West End show as he did not want to be away from his dog.

Schreiber was asked to take the lead role in a play “Glengarry Glen Ross” but he passed it on because he wanted to be with his dog in New York. The play was being performed in London, reports contactmusic.com.

“I had an offer about six months ago to do ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ but I had a dog at the time and the quarantine laws were very strict and I couldn’t see my way through coming to England without my dog,” he said.

Schreiber is romantically involved with actress Naomi Watts and has two children with her.
