Michael Jackson’s funeral expected to be bigger than Diana’s

LONDON - Late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s funeral may be bigger than that of Princess Diana, say reports.
Diana’s funeral saw a gathering of 250,000 people in London’s Hyde Park alone, and it was watched on TV by 2.5 billion people worldwide, a record for any television broadcast.
If experts are to be believed, Jackson’s funeral may equal or even exceed the astonishing figure recorded during the service for Diana.
According to the Daily Express, hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world are expected to line the streets of Los Angeles for Jackson’s funeral, expected towards the end of this week.
A televised funeral service will in all likelihood be followed by a procession through the streets before a private burial.
The newspaper also says that Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine, along with his eight brothers and sisters and three children, are overseeing the preparations.
They are still considering the difficult decision of choosing a final resting place for the global icon, even though some fans have suggested that the star be buried at the Neverland ranch in California, where he once built his own theme park. (ANI)
