Jealous Again takes Queen Mary, gives trainer Ward, jockey Velazquez another Royal Ascot win

American trainer, rider win at Royal Ascot again
ASCOT, England — Jealous Again has given trainer Wesley Ward and jockey John Velazquez a second win in two days at Royal Ascot with a victory in the Queen Mary Stakes.
Bursting out of the starting gate, the 2-year-old filly overpowered the field and finished five lengths ahead of Misheer in Wednesday’s race.
A day earlier, the Ward-trained Strike The Tiger, with Velazquez aboard, became the first American-trained horse to win at Royal Ascot in the Windsor Castle Stakes.
Also Wednesday, Vision D’Etat won the Prince of Wales’s Stakes by a half length over 6-4 favorite Tartan Bearer.
The 4-year-old colt from France made a powerful run from last to first in the final eighth-mile to win the Group 1 race.

ASCOT, England (AP) — Vision D’Etat has won the Prince of Wales’s Stakes by a half length at Royal Ascot.
The 4-year-old colt from France made a powerful run from last to first in the final eighth-mile and then held off 6-4 favorite Tartan Bearer for the victory. Never On Sunday was a head back in third place in Wednesday’s Group 1 race at 1¼ miles on the turf.
