WASHINGTON - First pictures of John Lennon, Yoko Ono’s “bed-in” protest have been unveiled at the museum on the site of the Woodstock festival.
The exhibition called John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-In For Peace celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Woodstock festival at Bethel Woods in New York, reports Contactmusic.
Photographer Gerry Deiter, while covering the couple’s famous 1969 peace protest for Life magazine, took the unseen images.
Deiter exclusively took the pics for eight days in room 1742 of Montreal, Canada’s Queen Elizabeth Hotel, where the event was hosted to protest the Vietnam War.
The photos include the couple being interviewed, singing, doodling and chatting with famous pals like Tom Smothers and psychedelic era guru Timothy Leary. (ANI)
