Terri Seymour attacker pleads guilty

LOS ANGELES — A woman who attacked Terri Seymour outside the “American Idol” finale has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery.

Janice Thibodeaux entered the plea Thursday in Los Angeles. She was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to take anger management classes.

The 33-year-old was also ordered to stay away from Seymour, an ex-girlfriend of Simon Cowell and an “Extra” correspondent.

Thibodeaux told RadarOnline.com that she attacked Seymour on May 19 as revenge for Cowell playfully choking fellow Idol judge Paula Abdul on the show a week earlier.

Police arrested her after seeing her try to choke Seymour, who is also seeking a lengthy civil restraining order.
