LONDON - Hollywood star John Travolta, whose son Jett passed away five months ago, is still grieving his accidental death and has opted out from the promotions of his upcoming movie “The Taking of Pelham 123″.

Contactmusic.com reports that Travolta has left co-star Denzel Washington to do the media promotion as he is still struggling to cope with the tragedy. His 16-year-old son died in January after suffering a seizure while on a family vacation in the Bahamas.

According to Washington, the actor is still devastated by the tragedy and often breaks down in tears.

“One moment he is okay and the next he is in tears… Needless to say, he is struggling. So more than talking to him, I listened to him for about two or three hours… What can you say, really? Just be there as a friend… Our prayers are with him and his wife,” said Washington.
