RDX set to blow you out

Debutante filmmaker Don Goutham is all set to unleash his maiden venture RDX – The Movie. To be released in mid-May, RDX is the first ever Bollywood movie about the transformation of a woman into a human bomb and her successful come back to normal life. The inspirations for the same has been derived from real life incidents taken place post the infamous post Godhra riots. The makers of the film have done extensive research for their subject, including meeting and taking inputs from real life post Godhra riots victims. The film comes at a time when all national and international news channels are abuzz with the news of female fidayeen’s (suicide bombers) being planned to infiltrate India from our neighbouring country.

Ace cinematographer Don Goutham who is turning director with RDX – The Movie has got a vast experience behind him of working over 150 TV commercials. He has worked with the likes of acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam, amongst many other big names down South. “What will leave you enchanted about the film is not just the message it aims to deliver but also the way stark realism has been handled in the most balanced manner not making it a dull preachy affair.” Goutham assures us.

Revealing further about the plot Goutham tells us, "The film starts in some remote parts in Pakistan where children are being trained the modern know how of terrorism. After the training completion they are sent to India. Seema is one amongst them who comes to Mumbai as a suicide bomber. She has been assigned the task of assassinating the Chief Minister on August 15th. Her local team in Mumbai comprises a group of very young men who have been victims of the infamous Gujarat massacre. Each one of them has been a witness to one of the worst atrocities on humankind in the name of religion inspired riots. As her D-day is nearing Seema’s gang gets bumped off in a police encounter. Following which, more unexpected turn of events comes in Seema’s way as she attempts to get her mission accomplished. How Seema handles it all and what it leads to forms the rest of the film."

This slick n pacy thriller has a running time of just over two hours and stars newcomers Seema Khan and Sachin Rana in the lead. There is only one song in the film and is composed by Nayab Raja. It is penned by famous lyricist Ibrahim Ashq who has to his credit super hit songs from films such as Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Welcome and Black and White. It is sung by Javed Ali of Jodhaa Akbar and Delhi 6 fame. The music has been given by Jerome P Raj. The hard hitting dialogues are by Santosh Kumar Singh.
