Prashant Kumar in a horror flick Kaalo

Talented actor Prashant Kumar who will soon be seen in horror flick Kaalo is a very big fan of Amitabh Bachchan. This US born and bred dude has also made an appearance in Rajshri’s Ek Vivaah… Aisa Bhi.

He exclaims, “Unlike many other fans of the Big B, I atleast had a chance to personally interact with him. When he and Jaya ji were in New York (2002) for his book launch, I went to him and got him to sign on my copy. I also told him that I was an actor and he wished me success in my craft.”

Besides being an actor, Prashant is also a good poet. “Hence when I got my first book published, I decided to send a copy to my icon. I wanted to know what this great son of a great poet (Harivansh Rai Bachchan) thinks of my work. I honestly did not think that Mr. Bachchan would even read it but I was pleasantly surprised when I received a hand written note saying that he has liked my work. It was a great high receiving such a complement from my childhood hero. I have loved his work right from Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Agneepath to Paa, “gushed Prashant.

He further adds, “When I was about to leave for his first schedule for Kaalo, I also saw Mr. Bachchan at the airport flanked by about 20 body guards. I regard that fleeting glimpse of India’s greatest superstar as his blessing for my first project which should soon see the light of day.”

Asked as to why he did not speak to him, he says “My upbringing is such that we don’t just go and wish people, we don’t know personally. It’s not courteous.
