LONDON - Actress Julianne Moore has been honoured for her philanthropy work at a star-studded ceremony in New York.

The Kids Are All Right star serves as ambassador for Save the Children programmes in the US and is involved with the TS Alliance to raise awareness of tuberous sclerosis.

Contactmusic.com reports Moore, who is also a longtime supporter of same-sex marriage, was handed the trophy Saturday to mark her campaigning work.

“I am at the HRC event tonight in NYC - sitting with my husband and Mark Ruffalo - human rights and marriage equality for everybody,” she posted on her Twitter account while attending the ceremony.
