Lohan denies stealing necklace

LONDON - Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has denied accusations that she stole a gold necklace from a Los Angeles boutique.

The actress was photographed wearing a gold necklace, after which the owner of a jewellery store in Venice, California, filed a complaint against her.

However, on behalf of Lohan, her British publicist has denied any such incident, reports dailymail.co.uk.

The photograph was taken last Thursday.

The 24-year-old star also met with her probation officer after LAPD officer Bruce Borihanh confirmed that they were investigating the allegation.

The case has now apparently been turned over to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, which will now decide whether or not to file charges against the actress.
