MALIBU (GaeaTimes.com)- Television actress Valerie Bertinelli, renowned for her role on “One Day at a Time” married her longtime boyfriend Tom Vitale at her Malibu home. The couple exchanged vows in a gala ceremony, in front of 100 guests who graced the occasion to shower their blessings on the newly married couple. The representative of the couple announced that they got married on January 1, 2010.

Valerie Bertinelli invited all her former colleagues and television co-stars for her marriage along with her family members. The guests of the event included her co-stars of “Hot in Cleveland”, Wendie Mallick and Jane Leeves. Moreover, from her previous soap “One Day at a Time”, Pat Harrington and Mackenzie Phillips also graced the occasion. Mackenzie Phillips who played the significant role in the television series opposite Valerie Bertinelli, was all in tears, when she congratulated her “little sister” at the reception. Valerie Bertinelli previously married Eddie Van Halen and the couple has a son together. They parted ways in 2005. However, Eddie Van Halen also graced the occasion along with his wife Janie Liszewski and son Wolfie, 19.

Valerie Bertinelli told a reputed media source after her wedding that she is happy to begin a new chapter of her life. She started dating Tom Vitale in the year 2004 and on May 20, 2010 the couple announced their engagement. Last year, in one of her interviews Valerie Bertinelli said that she is afraid of commitment and apprehensive about marriage. She also added that she was so scared that she decided to exchange vows in front of two witnesses. Valerie Bertinelli became the face of Jenny Craig program after she lost 172lbs to 132lbs in about 9 months of the program.
