NEW DELHI - Yash Raj Films Television will be back with its second innings on Sony Entertainment Television, this time with “Khote Sikkey” - a story highlighting how rich and spoilt children are indulging in crime these days.
The show, which will be dominated by fresh faces, will go on air in January.
“Khote Sikkey” traces the story of an unlikely gang - five privileged youngsters and one stubborn cop who manage to solve various crimes. It will be a bi-weekly show with a new, fictional case in focus every week.
But the basic premise of the show is how the rich in the urban cities are getting richer by the day and their crimes are getting more random and more uncontrollable, said a source.
YRF Television, the television arm of entertainment conglomerate Yash Raj Films, had earlier launched shows like “Mahi Way”, “Rishta.com”, “Powder” or “Seven” which were very distinct in their storytelling and quality. But they failed to garner Television Rating Points (TRPs) too well.
However, a sequel to “Mahi Way” is in the offing, according to sources.
