Lily Allen engaged to beau Sam Cooper

LONDON - Pop star Lily Allen has reportedly got engaged to boyfriend Sam Cooper.

Building firm boss Sam proposed to the singer on a beach in the Far East on Christmas Day.

The engagement ensures 2010 ends on a happy note for Allen, who last month lost the baby she was expecting with Sam when she was six months pregnant.

“Lily is absolutely beaming and emotional at the same time. She had no idea Sam was going to propose and said ‘Yes’ instantly,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“He’s been her rock for her since the couple lost their baby and she can’t wait to spend the rest of her life with him,” the source added.

The Smile singer has been dating Sam, who has been friends for years, since July 2009. (ANI)
