Elton John, David Furnish welcome their 1st child

MELBOURNE - Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish welcomed their first child on Christmas day.

Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born in California via a surrogate.

“We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment,” News.com.au quoted John and Furnish as saying in a joint statement.

“Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents,” they said.

John and Furnish married in 2005 after 12 years together.

The couple would not be revealing details of their surrogacy arrangement, according to their representative. (ANI)
