Barton was bullied in school

LONDON - Mischa Barton was bullied in school for being an actress.

The former child actress believes moving from Britain to the US, when she was just five years old, made her a target to be mocked because she was so different from the other kids, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“I think that’s why I grew up so fast and have always been a bit of an outsider,” she said.

The 24-year-old said she felt insecure as was picked on because she was an actress.

“I still am insecure but young Mischa was terribly insecure. The kids around me at school had realised I was an actress and I started getting teased,” she said.
