MELBOURNE - Former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Nicollette Sheridan seems to have had a change of heart.

The British actress, who played Edie Britt in hit series, has removed claims of mental and physical abuse from a 20-million-dollar lawsuit against her former Desperate Housewives employers for her firing, RadarOnline reported.

In April the actress filed the lawsuit against the show’s creator Marc Cherry, Touchstone Television Productions, ABC Studios, and ABC entertainment. She alleged assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.

In the legal documents she claimed during a script dispute on September 24, 2008, Cherry “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hands across her face and head,” Us Weekly reported.

Sheridan dropped the claims of physical injury and emotional distress in papers filed to the Los Angeles Superior Court, reports the Hearld Sun.

In exchange, the defense agreed to retract its request for Sheridan to submit to physical and psychological evaluations, reports the Herald sun.

The case will continue without those causes of action, as per the agreement.

The 47-year-old star, whose final episode aired in April 2009, will still pursue lost wages, benefits and other financial compensation. (ANI)
