LONDON - Hollywood actor Michael Douglas who has been battling throat cancer since this summer has returned to his acting career.
Douglas has declared he is determined to beat the illness and showed signs of recovery by filming a clip for an online video.
The Wall Street star appears in a brooding black and white one-minute clip in which he is seen sitting in a leather armchair. James Franco and Matt Damon have also appeared in the 14 actors series, which sees stars portray “classic screen types”.
His rep tells the publication, “He’s doing better. He keeps improving, but it’s a slow process.”
Douglas will make his full return to acting next year, when he begins shooting his portrayal of flamboyant pianist Liberace.
