MELBOURNE - Britney Spears is set to take legal action over reports that her boyfriend had viciously beaten her, according to the star’s management.
Star magazine first claimed that the troubled pop star had been abused by Jason Trawick, alleging he had given the singer a black eye and that he had cheated on her with a teenager.
Now Radar Online has posted phone recordings where a woman - reportedly Spears - claims that Trawick had “beat on me.”
The conversation is purportedly with Jason Alexander, the man whose quickie marriage to Spears in 2004 lasted just 55 hours, reports News.com.au.
It was Alexander who told Star magazine the chart topper had confessed about being assaulted in a phone conversation between the pair.
Reports in America allege the singer made a heart-tugging appeal to Jason Alexander after confessing her life had turned into “a nightmare” because of constant beatings and abuse.
In a taped conversation with Jason, Britney today, claimed Jason Trawick had beaten her many times and once she had suffered a black eye.
On the tape released onto the internet by a magazine, Jason, is allegedly heard talking to a woman, claimed to be Britney. At one point he asks her: “How’s your problems with your fianc?”
“Britney” answers: “That [bleep] is not my fianc.”
However, a spokesman for both Britney and Trawick denied the story last night. (ANI)
