‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ director to join global animation group

MUMBAI - “Toonpur Ka Superhero” director Kireet Khurana has been approached by the International Animation Consulting Group (IACG) to be part of their advisory board.
“The group is very pleased to add Kireet to its advisory board. I’ve known and admired Kireet for the past dozen years. He has the rare combination of creative talent, daring, character and knowledge that personifies the spirit of the International Animation Consulting Group,” said international animator William Bill Denis, who is part of IACG, in a statement.
Max Howard and Frank Lunn are other members of IACG that provides first-hand knowledge on how to develop, produce and distribute animated content for feature films and television.
Now IACG is looking forward to India since animation is one of the fastest emerging trends in Indian Film Industry and hence approached Khurana.
Before “Toonpur Ka Superhero”, Khurana had directed short films, animation series and Public Service films like “Rights From The Heart” (for UNICEF), “Adventures of Chhota Birbal” (for Cartoon Network) and “Laadli” (Children’s Film Society of India).
Khurana had also worked on more than 400 ad films for more than 90 brands like Coke, Pepsico, Kellogg, Unilever and Nestle.
The director has won five President’s National Awards and three International Awards besides 20 assorted awards for his short films and TV series.
He served on the jury for the National Award.
