LONDON - Janet Jackon has very few friends because she has long struggled with trust issues.

The singer-actress reveals she only has a handful of close pals and never lets anyone new into her life, insisting the show business has forced her to remain guarded over the years, reports dailystar.co.uk.

I don’t have a lot of friends. It’s not easy in this industry. And I am glad I don’t have a lot of friends… It’s very much a trust issue… It’s definitely a trust issue for myself, said Jackson.

There is nothing worse than being lonely and having people around you, especially people that you love, people that you need to be involved with, she added.
