Montag, Pratt on the verge of bankruptcy

LONDON - Reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt admit that their reckless spending has left them homeless and on the verge of bankruptcy.
“We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part. In hindsight, we shouldn’t have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved. We spoke with a bankruptcy attorney and I’ve looked into unemployment cheques, contactmusic.com quoted Pratt as saying.
The couple, who recently rekindled their relationship after separating in April, has squandered their $10 million fortune.
They wasted it by renting a $35,000-a-month Malibu home, $3 million on Heidi’s failed music career, six cars, private jets and the blonde beauty’s cosmetic surgery.
The couple has now been hit by $2 million tax bill, which they are unable to pay. They have been left homeless and are now living in a studio apartment in the grounds of Pratt’s parents’ home.
“I feel like I’m 14 years old again. My parents are my lifeline,” Pratt said.
Despite their struggles, the couple insist they are not seeking sympathy.
“We don’t want sympathy. We did this to ourselves and feel like idiots. But we’ve grown up and are definitely not as naive anymore,” he said.
