NEW DELHI - One-film old Rajeev Khandelwal has come out of his shell and will be seen in a new avatar - the actor has done away with his long locks for his next film Soundtrack.
The actor will sport a new hairstyle in the film, produced by Saregama India Ltd. Last seen in his debut Aamir, Rajeev was hesitant to snip his tresses.
I have cut my hair short for this film specially. The character I am playing is that of a young DJ. After trying multiple looks, the director felt that short hair would best suit my character, Rajeev said.
Since the past two years, I’ve had long hair, so I was a bit hesitant to cut my hair but after much thought I felt this was the right look for me, he added.
Apurv Nagpal, managing director of Saregama, said: Rajeev’s character in the film needed a fresh look. He has had long hair for a while now, so this change is only welcome. This haircut and look will only enhance his character.
To be directed by Neerav Ghosh, shooting will commence from mid-November. The female lead is yet to be decided.
Rajeev’s future projects include “Peter Gaya Kaam Se”, “Return Gift”, “Chenab Gandhi” and “Joker”.
