LONDON - Hollywood actress Carey Mulligan will be honoured with the breakthrough star award at the upcoming Palm Springs International Film Festival in California.
The “An Education” star will receive the award Jan 8 at the festival for her work in films “Never Let Me Go” and “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.
Festival chairman Harold Matzner calls the 25-year-old Oscar nominated star as “an actress of extraordinary talent and versatility”.
“In her most recent performances as the estranged daughter of Gordon Gekko in ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ to ‘Never Let Me Go’, where her character learns that life isn’t always what it seems, she brings uncommon vision and depth to her art,” express.co.uk quoted Matzner as saying.
