Hepburn stamps to go under the hammer

LONDON - A rare set of stamps, featuring late movie legend Audrey Hepburn, will be auctioned for charity in Berlin Monday.
The 10 stamps, featuring Hepburn posing with a cigarette holder in her mouth as Holly Golightly from the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, are expected to fetch around $564,000, reports imdb.com.
Fourteen million stamps were printed in Germany in 2001 but almost all were destroyed when Hepburn’s son Sean Ferrer refused to grant copyright. Several stamp sheets were saved, one of which will go under the hammer.
Five stamps from the set, previously presumed stolen, have been sold in the past. One of them fetched $240,000.
