LONDON - Hollywood funnyman Robin Williams and “Slumdog Millionaire” star Freida Pinto have raised a whooping amount in a fundraising drive for former tennis ace Andre Agassi’s charity.
Agassi’s 15th Annual Grand Slam for Children benefit gala Saturday collected over $8.5 million with the help of stars, including Williams, Pinto and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.
Imdb.com reports, a live auction at the event saw six bidders pledge $100,000 to dine with Williams in San Francisco, California, while Pinto raised $75,000 by offering a trip to India.
Rocker Ulrich donated drum lessons and tour around his band’s studios, attracting a winning bid of $35,000.
The Las Vegas event, benefiting underprivileged youngsters, also featured performances from Sir Elton John, Jason Mraz and Jennifer Hudson.
