Russell Crowe in big screen remake of The Equalizer?

LONDON - Russell Crowe is apparently being lined up to play a former secret agent turned vigilante.
The Gladiator star, 46, is stepping into the shoes of Edward Woodward for a big screen remake of ‘The Equalizer,’ the Daily Star reported.
Oscar-winner Paul Haggis, who wrote ‘Crash’, is behind the script.
Woodward, who died last year aged 79, starred in US TV show - ‘The Equalizer’ from 1985 to 1989 playing the mysterious Robert McCall, who hires himself out to people in need. (ANI)
