LONDON - The health of Hollywood legend Zsa Zsa Gabor, who had broken her hip in July, has improved and doctors have put her on a diet of mashed potato and jelly.
The 93-year-old star has been in and out of hospital since breaking her hip at her Beverly Hills home in July and then she became so frail that, at one stage, a priest was called to read her last rites, reports dailystar.co.uk.
She is currently in a stable condition at her home where a team of nurses is helping her fight back to health, and the star is showing positive signs of a recovery as she has started eating again.
“She is eating. She eats like a bird, though. Only mash and jello jelly. From time to time she drinks a bit of orange juice as well. My Zsa Zsa is and will remain a nursing case,” said her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt.
“My wife should get all the medical luxury available. Everything here belongs to her. She has worked hard for it and now everything is used for her recovery and well being,” he added.
