FICUS Acquires The Robo USA Rights

September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): According to latest reports, FICUS the leader in overseas distribution of Indian films has bagged the USA theatrical rights for ‘Robo’. The reports suggest that in a record move, FICUS has bid and won the rights for both the Tamil and Telugu versions of the Rajnikanth blockbuster.
A FICUS representative thanked Sun pictures for giving them the opportunity and also extended their gratitude to Kalanidhi Maran and Hansraj Saxena. Shankar has directed the futuristic film ‘Robo’ which will be a science fiction in the truest sense. The movie has a huge budget that will put Hollywood movies to shame. Indian Superstars Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai star in the lead roles of the movie. The movie also stars famous actors like Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Kalabavan Mani.
The technical crew of ‘Robo’ was hand-picked by Shankar himself and it includes technicians from all over the world. Oscar winner AR Rahman, Hollywood stunt director Yuen Woo Ping (who designed action scenes for Matrix and other prominent action flicks) has been roped in for the project as well.
