Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya marries industrialist

CHENNAI - Tamil movie super star Rajnikanth’s second daughter Soundarya tied the knot with industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar here Friday.

The wedding was attended by prominent personalities from the movie world, politics and business community to bless the newly-weds.

The marriage was conducted in Brahminical style, though Rajnikanth donned a yellow turban for some time.

Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram and his son Karti Chidambaram, MDMK General Secretary Vaiko, DMDK founder Vijaykant, BJP leader L. Ganesan, Communist leaders D. Pandian and R. Nallakannu, actors Kamal Haasan, Sridevi, Prabhu, Sivakumar, Chiranjeevi, directors K. Balachandar, Bharathiraja, lyricist Vairamuthu, and singer P. Susheela, among others, graced the occasion.

While Soundarya has her own production company Ocher Picture Productions, her husband Ramkumar, a Stanford University graduate, is into real estate business.

Rajnikanth’s first daughter Aishwarya is married to Tamil movie hero Dhanush.
