Dr. Laura’s N-Word use Created Fuss

LOS ANGELES (Gaeatimes.com) — On a radio show, Dr. Laura Schlessinger used the N-word, while talking to a caller. According to Dr. Laura, using the N-Word is not a crime. She claims that Channel HBO uses it quite often and it has become common. According to Dr. Laura, its completely acceptable by many .

But, Abraham Foxman, National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, accuses Schlessinger saying that it’s acceptable in no way.

There’s no way that it’s acceptable. It’s not funny, it’s offensive to African-Americans. She should know better. There should be consequences.

says Abraham Foxman.

The consequences started with a debate on Tuesday when a black female called up Dr. Laura during her talk show . According to ABC reports the woman was quite furiated by the way, her husband’s Caucasian friends used the N-Word.

Schlessinger said

Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO and listen to a black comic, and all you hear is n****r, n****r, n****r. I don’t get it. If anybody without enough melanin says it, it’s a horrible thing. But when black people say it, it’s affectionate. It’s very confusing.

Actually, using the n-word may be common among many people but, the fact lies in the way its used. So, what do you think, did Laura hurt the black people intentionally or did it casually?
