Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) On Thursday night, the winner of SYTYCD was decided. Predictions ruled the air with Kent Boyd being a slight favorite. He is 18 from Wapakoneta, Ohio. The other two dancers followed him in popularity. The winner was crowned at 10pm east after a 2 hour long grand finale episode. Lauren Froderman triumphed over Kent Boyd after the third finalist Robert Roldan was evicted earlier. He was 19 from Thousand Oaks, Calif. Lauren was the only female finalist left in the show till end. There was always a buzz that the eventual final would take place between Boyd and Froderman. The finale was full of surprise guests. The show became very interesting when Ellen DeGeneres came for a special performance with Twitch, and did a hip-hop dance too. The news of De Generes performing in place of injured Alex Wong was leaked as well.
The winner was really happy as she won a grand prize of $250,000 and also a contract with a sports company a new addition to the show this time. She is a bubbly jazz dancer who adapted other styles with ease as hip hop, ballroom and even the pelvic Bollywood routines.
The seventh season winner is just 18. She is a recent high school graduate from Phoenix. She too had hard times on show. Once she managed perfectly a wardrobe malfunction an abruptly broken dress strap. She has been a consistent performer all the season.
I have been working my whole life for something like this
quoted Froderman.
The Jury had seven judges and choreographers. Mary Murphy was missed by all. Anyway the show proved to be worth watching till the end. All the jury Mia, Adam and Nigel was satisfied with the decision.
