Imtiaz Ali Plays Godfather To Raj Singh Chaudhary In Antardwand

August 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): If you feel that Raj Singh Chaudhary fits the role of the abducted groom to the T in Sushil Rajpal’s Antardwand, the credit must go to director Imtiaz Ali (Love Aaj Kal, Jab We Met).
That’s because the director took the onus of casting for the film, at least for the lead guy, to himself.
Well, Imtiaz has known Sushil for a long while now and he also encouraged the director to write because of which he is very familiar with the script.
It was because of this familiarity that Sushil wanted Imtiaz to act in the film but since Imtiaz was busy in his directorial project he promised Sushil that he’d get a better guy for the role.
After he met Raj Singh Chaudhary through Anurag Kashyap, Imtiaz had the young sensation of Gulaal roped in.
Though Imtiaz has acted in his college days and also in Kashyap’s Black Friday but right now he is focused on directing films. Well, never say never again. You never know, Sushil Rajapal may get Imtiaz to act in future.
As for Raj Singh Chaudhary is concerned, getting approval from Imtiaz Ali and Anurag Kashyap speaks a lot about this talented sensation’s ability to rock Bollywood in the future.
