Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - After 10 million votes, the three top finalists of SYTYCD were chosen. The decision was entirely on viewers votes. After 8 weeks, America decided to evict Adechike Torbert. Now the top three left are Kent Boyd, Robert Roldan and Lauren Froderman.
Torbert is the 8th dancer America decided to be voted out. The decision was almost evident as Torbert was not showing up to the mark. Judges often criticized his performances. Torbert, the 23 years old modern dancer from Brooklyn NY, thanked everybody before leaving. He is the oldest among all the contestants.
In his farewell speech Adechike Torbert thanked people after saying,
It was a great honor to even be on this show, among such wonderful artists, and just beautiful people. This is not the end of this road, it’s just the beginning.
Among the Jury Mia Michaels who was really strict for Torbert was surprised. She said Torbert has a huge fan following. She added that America has shown that only best performer will be supported and she is glad with the votes.
The voting was really close. One of the finalists Robert Roldan told that this competition has turned head to head. There was only 2% difference in first place and second place. Whereas just few percent in second and third place. So, it will be an act of foolishness to predict the winner of SYTYCD.
The decision was based solely on audition poles so it was evident that Jury played no significant role ruling out the possibilities of favoritism. The voting was actually the result of performance of Wednesday night. However Judge Adam Shankman claims that it is just not the performer but also the choreographer who is credited for the success and failure. It could have not been Torbert for eviction but anyone else.
Now only with only the cream left in the show it has turned all the way more interesting. The winner after all gets $250,000, a cover appearance on Dance Spirit magazine, and a role in Gatorade’s G Series advertising campaign this season.
