Meet new Anandi on Thursday

Avika Gor was one of the much loved youngest ‘bahu’ of Indian television. Now she will be replaced by a grown up actress on the show “Balika Vadhu” and the new face will be unravelled Thursday.

The 11-year-old Avika, who has been essaying the character since the past two years on “Balika Vadhu”, is being replaced by an older girl due to a generation leap on the show that comes on Colors channel.

The channel had launched a poll whereby the audience got the chance to choose their favourite candidate for Anandi’s role through SMS. Three girls - Lucknow-based Nivedita Tiwari, Jamshedpur-based Pratyusha Banerjee and Ketaki Chitale from Mumbai - had been shortlisted for the poll.

Now the viewers will finally know who they have voted for the role. It will be a one-hour special episode and will take viewers through the new phase of the show.
