‘The Pacific’, ‘Glee’ get most Emmy nominations

LOS ANGELES - “The Pacific” mini-series and comedy “Glee” received the most Emmy nominations Thursday, with a combined total of 45 nods in the television awards.
“The Pacific”, a World War II HBO mini-series directed by movie giants Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, earned nominations in 24 categories. “Glee”, a high school musical series known for its ironic humour and vocal talent, followed close behind with 21 nominations.
“Lost”, “Mad Men”, “True Blood”, “Dexter”, “Breaking Bad” and “The Good Wife” are up for the outstanding drama series award.
The outstanding comedy series trophy could go to “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “Modern Family”, “Glee”, “Nurse Jackie”, “The Office” or “30 Rock”.
The award show will be held August 29.
