KOLKATA - A documentary on Michael Jackson, based on his last rehearsals for his sold-out London concerts which never happened due to his death, will premiere on Indian television on the King of Pop’s first death anniversary June 25.
The documentary, titled “This Is It”, is a compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of the King of Pop as he created and perfected his planned shows in London.
“It is an extraordinary film that allows fans to witness the talent which made him a genius. It is an opportunity for the fans to get close to a musical genius,” said Sunder Aaron, business head, Sony Pix, on which the documentary will be aired at 9 p.m. June 25.
The name of the documentary “This is it” is taken from one of the speeches of Michael Jackson in the documentary where the musical genius says: “I just wanted to say that these will be my final show performances in London. When I say this is it, it really means this is it.”
