DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star FELICITY HUFFMAN is backing a new breast cancer awareness campaign - by teaming up with Lee Jeans to promote National Denim Day.

The actress is fronting a new advert for the jeans brand as its 2010 Ambassador, asking for everyone to wear denim on 08 October (10) and pay a $5 (£3) donation towards breast cancer research.

Speaking in the clip, Huffman says, “Hi, my name is Felicity Huffman and I heart my six sisters and my two little girls. One out of every eight women gets breast cancer and someone is diagnosed every three minutes. I think we can do something about this…”

Vice president of Marketing and Communications for Lee Jeans, Liz Cahill, is delighted to have the star on-side: “We’re so happy to have Felicity on board this year. She is such a passionate supporter for our work.”
