LONDON - Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell’s Union Jack dress, which she wore during 1997 Brit Awards, has been named the most iconic dress of the last 50 years.

Halliwell has beaten the likes of Elizabeth Hurley, Marilyn Monroe and Lady GaGa, among others, in a poll by online fashion retailer Offers Supermarket.

The Versace safety pin dress Hurley wore to the London premiere of her then boyfriend Hugh Grant’s movie “Four Weddings and A Funeral” came in second, while Monroe’s white dress from “The Seven Year Itch” was voted third, reports contactmusic.com.

Actress Audrey Hepburn’s fitted black dress from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and Lady Gaga’s tiered white outfit she wore to this year’s Brit Awards wrapped up the top five.
