Theroux ‘zoolander 2 Has Not Been Scrapped’

Film director JUSTIN THEROUX has brushed off reports the ZOOLANDER sequel has been shelved after BEN STILLER posted a cryptic message on Twitter.com suggesting the movie had stalled.
The funnyman fuelled rumours Zoolander 2 has been axed due to bosses at movie studio Paramount reportedly refusing to fund the project, by writing on Twitter.com that lead character Derek Zoolander is “destitute”.
But director Theroux has rubbished the claims, insisting he is continuing to work on the script and even spent time developing the movie with Stiller earlier this week (beg03May10).
He says, “Today and yesterday I was with Ben, and today we continued to break story. I have not gotten word from anyone to put pencils down, so I am continuing as though we are proceeding with that film.”
And Theroux has been left baffled by Stiller’s Twitter post, adding: “Honestly, I don’t know (what it means). You’d have to ask Ben. I have no clue what those things mean. I’ve heard them, too. We’re operating as though it’s absolutely going (ahead).”
