Now give a mobile audition and be a singer

NEW DELHI - For all those aspiring to become the next singing sensation of the country, the way is now just a mobile button away. The Sangam Kala Group, which tapped talents like Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, has come up with a novel concept of “Mobile Audition”.
The group churned out the talents through their national singing talent hunt programs. The new approach will enable aspiring singers not only to record their songs, but also have them voted for by others as a popular choice.
The group has tied up with the Spice Digital to kickstart “Spice Surtarang” talent hunt, which will invite participants in three age groups — sub-junior (5-12 years), junior (12-18 years) and senior (18-28 years) across filmy and non-filmy categories.
The participants, who will be shortlisted by the mobile auditions process, will gain an entry into regional rounds held across the country. The winners will then participate in the national round.
“This association with Sangam Kala Group is our way of presenting opportunities to aspiring singers from across the country to showcase their talent by providing them access through the mobile radio platform that may otherwise not be possible,” said Saket Agarwal, CEO of the Spice Digital.
This service can be accessed by dialing 54321333 across all major mobile operators.
